“You shall worship no other god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God” (Ex. 34:14).
Think about the ways you’ve seen jealousy play out in your life and in the lives of those around you.  Is jealousy a quality you’re comfortable associating with God?  Since it’s a quality that God associates with God, we must embrace it while being careful to understand it.  This excerpt from John Piper’s sermon entitled God is Most Glorified in Us When We Are Most Satisfied in Him explains (1) why God’s jealousy is very good and (2) why it results not only in His glory but also our satisfaction.
